Remington Model 1875 Revolver in .44-40


.44-40. 7.5" barrel. SN: 597. Blued finish, color casehardened hammer, smooth walnut grips. Single action, solid frame cartridge revolver with six-chambered fluted cylinder loading gate, lanyard ring in butt, frame notch rear sight and pinched blade front sight. Barrel marked with one-line left hand address that reads E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y. U.S.A. Serial (assembly) number 597 on left of frame under grip, no other parts are numbered. Condition
Good. Bore very good, mostly bright with strong rifling, scattered oxidation and some frosting. Metal with some traces of blue in protected areas, otherwise a dull pewter patina with freckled oxidized discoloration and some light pitting. Barrel address clear. Mechanically functional action. Grips with scattered bumps, dings and mars.
